Social Distance Team Building

Social Distance Team Building

The new norm for a while is about Social Distancing! Social Distancing defined is ”The practice of maintaining a greater than usual physical distance (such as six feet or more) from other people, or of avoiding direct contact with people or objects in public places during the outbreak of a contagious disease, in order to minimize exposure and reduce the transmission of infection.

Whilst the dark clouds of Covid-19 still circle us from every angle, we know that some form of normality will return, this is certain! What we don’t know is how long this will take and while we are in it, what our parameters and restrictions are and how they will affect our daily lives…

With the Governments latest announcements we know that meetings, conferences and expo’s will slowly return and normal proximity-based team building will follow, we just don’t know the “if’s, how’s why’s and when’s yet, but we know these things are soon to be re-introduced…

Given the dire need to keep teams motivated and functioning in this difficult period, our implementation of Online Team Building Programs has seen much success! The natural progression is therefore to incorporate the ideas developed in the online space and blend them into the new phase between the old norm and the new.

With all this in mind Sportsman Events has designed new adaptive approaches, and modified existing ones, enabling meaningful and qualitative activities to unfold in the next stage of this Era, whilst still strictly observing safety and social distance protocols.

The Behavioural Team Dynamics that unfold when team members contribute to decision-making, problem solving, and working relationships transpire adequately using social distancing, if there is an appropriate activity design.

There are high quality indoor and outdoor options that will allow your teams to reconnect safely with one another, have some fun, and achieve meaningful outcomes. Strong teams and working relationships will be more important than ever in the new workplace reality that we will all face post lock-down.

Programs including everything from serious fun to serious outcomes, accommodating all budgets are available. We also maintain the strictest safety measures possible, including regular sanitising of surfaces and hands, the strict enforcement of full-time mask utilisation and strict safety briefings throughout sessions.

We don’t need to be in one another’s pockets at the office to be a great team, so why would we need to be in each other’s pockets at a team building session?
